Week #5 at Pruitt

I apologize for the delay, as I have had an extremely busy couple of weeks.

I am loving Pruitt more and more as the weeks go on. It hardly feels like it has been so long, but here we are at the halfway point. All of the transition nurses that I work with are super helpful explaining the process of how they gain referrals and turn them into admissions. They truly make me feel like part of the team, due to their constant reassurance and support. The culture of this organization is more like a family than a business. There are many times in which I am in new social situations, however I feel completely at ease due to the kindness of the Pruitt staff. I also find myself completely at home in the admissions offices at every building I go to, because of how kind and supportive the admissions directors are.

One of the main highlights of my week was visiting one of the Veterans Homes of NC. It was an awesome campus, with great staff. I really enjoyed the walk-thru tour I received from one of the transition nurses while I was there.
