GOP debate class post -Rachel Hirsch

After the GOP Republican debate on Thursday night, the common theme among Wake Forest students has to do with the overall process of the election itself. Many students expressed their concern about the “back and forth” exchange among Donald Trump and Ted Cruz, rather than focusing on pressing matters.

A sophomore, Emma Vivlamore stated that, “They would get asked questions then go off on a tangent about something completely different” and a junior, Lindsay Graham said, “It’s really uncomfortable to watch a cage match.”

Students fear that the discussions at the debate have gone so far off topic and another sophomore, Lane Ingram goes so far as to say, “[Ben Carson] looks like he’s playing a character on SNL. He doesn’t seem like he has any idea what he’s talking about.”
