This year Campus Life, Student Activities Fee group, and Resident Student Association approached the Library about hosting a Capture the Flag game in the Library during the first few weeks of school. Always eager to reach out to a diverse new pool of students to introduce them to the Library in creative ways, the Library embraced this and hosted the premier Capture the Flag in the Library. The Library explores ways to reach out to students and to bring in a more diverse body of students into the Library. One way has been to create programming that will connect to less traditional students. The highly successful, and much emulated “Get Game” series is an example of just that. This program, started in 2005, evolved each semester, drawing on the involvement of different groups each semester. The game nights brought in attendees from various campus constituencies.
