Heard It Here is a regular news report about the downtown community in Winston-Salem. It is produced by students in Phoebe Zerwick’s community journalism class at Wake Forest University. Zerwick spent more than 20 years at the Winston-Salem Journal as a reporter, columnist and editor before joining the faculty at Wake Forest. Students in the class, all minoring in journalism, will spend the fall semester reporting on the people and places that make downtown a community.
